A track group links tracks belonging to the group.
If an operation is manually performed on any one track by touching it, all other tracks respond similarly provided the operation is linked and the track group is enabled.
The track group's type specifies which operations are linked. But only operations performed manually by touch can be linked. For example, automation induced changes cannot be linked.
A VCA track is like a master fader track in that it trims the faders of all tracks belonging to the track group to which the VCA track is assigned. A master fader track trims their summed signal instead.
A VCA track is unlike a master fader track in that it does not provide for plug-in signal processing since audio does not pass through the VCA track.
